Title: Fair Trade

This series of paintings illustrates the idea of Fair Trade within the global coffee business. Only now are some of the workers of these countries receiving fair wages and some healthcare mostly for their children. Some countries are doing better than others because the businesses are allowed more freedoms and room to bend. I have included Kona, Hawaii as a role model in this aspect because Hawaii is one of our fifty states and as such conducts business under US conditions. These pieces all measure 24"x48" and are created on wooden box panels using acrylic paint and wheat pasted paper.
