Hello and Welcome!

I’m Jeremy Friend and I’m a lettering artist and type designer specializing in custom logotypes and word-marks for brands as well as lettering for advertising. Each piece is bespoke and custom drawn starting with pencil and progressing into final clean vector files. I work closely with each client to ensure every piece of lettering is crafted with care resulting in a unique and quality brand asset. Need a refresh for your existing logotype or word-mark? Or maybe some micro refinements? I can do that too! I also offer custom designed fonts to enhance your brand across varied applications. What can I say? I love drawing letters!

In addition to my lettering and type design work, I have also taught lettering, design and typography at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design (PCAD), the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) , York College of Pennsylvania and Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Fun Facts: I play drums, I like Vespa scooters, beer, tattoos, science fiction books, old hand-made typography, architecture, fist fights and really great eye candy. I’ve also been listening to these bands quite a bit: The Garden, Beats Antique, Q and not U, Shannon and the Clams, Hot Snakes and Wavves - sprinkled with a bit of Sam Black Church and Despised Icon. I secretly like Lady Gaga too. But don’t tell anyone.
