I was approached by Mike and Janell Bass to help them create their brand new bourbon based carbonated cocktail beverage called Ponyboy Slings. The brief requested a 70’s vibe for the word mark as well as the color palette. The initial letter studies yielded some interesting and tasteful results.

The final selection and evolution resulted in a retro inspired but fresh word mark. This design was drawn by hand in pencil before vectorizing the design for final output.
